The line chart compares the number of male and female university graduates in Canada during 15 years, that is from 1992 to 2007.
Overall, number of female graduates was more as compared to male graduates throughout the year.
The difference between male university leavers and female university leavers was nearly 30000 at the starting of period. Both- male and female graduates showed similar pattern from 1992 to 1998. Number of male and female graduates rose form 70000 and nearly 100000 to nearly 77000 and 105000 respectively. In the following four years their number decreased by 5000.
From 1998 to 2006, both male and female graduates followed upward trend. However, women the number of female graduates grew rapidly as compared to male graduates. In 1998, 100000 female graduated from universities, this number increased significantly and went to around 150000 by the end of period. ‘women the number of female graduates’ either use women or female. Give comma after three digits like 50,000. 1.5-2 bands out of 3.

Owing to globalization and advancement in clothing industry, people have an opportunity to wear fashionable clothes or even clothes from different country. It has been seen that more and more number of people are wearing a fashionable clothes. But, question is rising whether it is a positive or negative trend. I personally do not fine anything wrong in it provided that it does not come as financial burden on family.
There are number of reasons why wearing fashionable clothes is a positive development. First, after wearing a fashionable clothes people feel very energetic and feel more confident. fashion industry contributes greatly to the economy of countries. Thousands of people are employed in fashion industry. For instance, fashion designer earns money by designing clothes. They get chance to bring their talent and creativity. In today’s world, it is very important to wear Wearing fashionable clothes, it gives us an opportunity to attract attention from more number of people.
On the other hand it is a negative development when people use it to show their status. Fashionable clothes are mostly expensive. When people show other person wearing stylish clothes they also want to buy the same clothes and when they cannot buy it they feel inadequate. It creates financial burden on family. People start working more to earn more money and they compromise with their health. Some time they follow unethical way to earn money so they can also afford such clothes. What is more, as more number of people are wearing fashionable clothes they are forgetting their traditional costumes. People are getting detached from their culture.
To sum up, wearing a fashionable clothes is a good development but it should not create financial burden on family and mental stress at an individual level.
    thank you!!!!!

‘wrong in it’ wrong with it. ‘wearing a fashionable clothes’ a should not come here. ‘They get chance to bring their talent’ they get a chance to showcase their talent. You cannot write points on negative aspect because you have agreed in the introduction that it is a positive development, hence you are contradicting yourself, a big mistake, for both the tasks you will get not more than 6 bands due to this huge mistake.

so instead of writing negative development, I should write negative aspects of this trend.

        Thank you!!!!!

        • IELTS MASTER says:

yes you can but for that you have to mention in the introduction that there are some negative impacts of it as well.
