The pie chart highlight online sale of four different items namely, electronics and appliances, food and beverages, home furnishings, and video games in Canada during 2005 and 2010. In general, the sale of electronics and appliances was dominant in both years, while video games and home furnishings witnessed the least sale in 2005 and 2010 respectively.

The given data shows that video games accounted for 18% of the total online sale for retail sectors in Canada during 2005 and experienced an increment to 23% in 2010. Similarly, the sale of food and beverages was nearly below quarter (23%) in 2005; however, the sale figure raised by 10% in five years, reached precisely at 32% in 2010.

On the other hand, the proportion of sale of home furnishing items was exactly a quarter (25%) in 2005. The figure dropped significantly by one-tenth making home furnishing items sale at the lowest rank in 2010 as compared to the other sectors. A similar downward trend was observed in the sale of food and beverages, but the sale declined fractionally from 35% to 30% in the final year 2010.

        Thank you once again…

        • IELTS MASTER says:

First thing you have written introduction and overall together, try to write overall in a separate paragraph. Sales of E&A was not dominant in 2010 it was lower than F&B. Please interpret numbers correctly, a major mistake. The sale figure raised by 10 percentage points not 10% clearly you have missed this point explained in our video. For F&B the percentage actually increased not decreased. Since you have made blunders in numbers this writing will get 1 band out of 3 only.

    • IELTS MASTER says:

Again four with various is a mistake, various is used for many when number is not known. In Canada not at Canada. Experienced decrease not decreased. Reduced by 10 percentage points not 10%.

It is irrefutable that since number of vehicles have escalated, traffic jams and air pollution are proliferating at a startling pace in all over the globe. Some resources are irreversible such as petrol and it has detrimental effect;however, individuals utilize it enormous in their day to day life.Consequently, traffic jams and pollution is a big concern nowdays. There are several reasons for such a situation and few visible influence too. In the following section i will mention both, merits and demerits of it along with arguments but i personally opine that petrol tax will have adverse impacts on human beings.
Examining all the arguments the primary one to prove my view is,when tax on petrol will increase, public transport will cost individuals arm and leg, especially in countryside where education facilities are not available.Furthermore, people who leave under penury will not be able to take education and it will have paves the for illiteracy in all over the country.Secondly, all commodities prerequisite transportation for import and export therefore, suddenly price of all commodities such as foods, clothes will grow up. Only affluent people will able to purchase it while, poor will cope with starvation and penury.Another point worth noting is,in India,in Bihar, people have been struggling from food since several years and development is still arduous because of more tax on petrol
On the contrary, individuals will use public transport rather than personal vehicles it will automatic mitigate the issue of traffic and pollution. Moreover, public transport and higher tax will holistically up surged the economy of the globe which government can use in education, healthcare and many more. Also, new technology and advanced science will invent new things.Another factor to consider is,in India,in Maharashrta where rate of petrol is highest, people travel on solar bike.
To recapitulate, petrol is at alarming rate, people should use it less. High tax on petrol leads to less traffic jams although,to survive on the earth certainly arduous for people.Demerits far out weigh than merits.

    • IELTS MASTER says:

Resources are non-renewable not irreversible. Utilize it enormously not enormous. Will be able to purchase be is missing here. Struggling to get food not from food. Private transport will cost arm and leg not public. Petrol is at alarming rate what? Demerits outweigh merits not than merits.

The two given pie charts illustrate the amount of different items in percentages which were sold directly to individuals through the internet in Canada in the year 2005, and 2010. Overall, it can be noticed from the charts that the sales in electronics and appliance was the leading in both years, however the proportion of each item retailed either increased or decreased in their percentage when comparing the charts.

To begin, the retail market share of electronics and appliance was the highest online sale in 2005, being 35%, followed by the proportion of Home Furnishings, obtaining a quarter of the amount of cyber retail shopping, the percentages of food and beverage and Video Games on the internet market were 22% and 18% respectively.

However, in 2010, food and beverage was the most sold item on the retail internet marketing, which was 32%, followed closely by the percentage of direct online selling of electronics and appliance to individuals, being 30%, while the internet shopping of Video Games and Home furnishings on retail based were 23% and 15% respectively.

    • IELTS MASTER says:

There should not be comma after 2005. ‘was the leading in both years’ is wrong way to write, because in 2010 foods and beverages had the highest percentage. ‘obtaining a quarter’ is wrong write comprising the quarter of. Do not write words with capital letters for example Video Games, Home furnishings. This attempt is much weaker as compared to your earlier attempts with grammatical and sentence structure mistakes.

There is an opinion that increasing taxes on petroleum products will help to limit the number of cars on the road and at the same time reducing air pollution. I personally believe that the positives in this idea far exceed its negatives. This essay will discuss some of the advantages like limiting traffic congestion, reduction in air pollution and reducing funds for importing fuel in detail.

First of all, one paramount benefit from imposing more levies on gasoline is that it will reduce traffic congestion. To elaborate further, when there is increased in a tax particularly on petrol, it will definitely raise up the prices of petroleum products, and people will begin to be more economical in their used of fuel, hence there will be limitation in the way individuals use their cars which will bring a great relief from traffic congestion and also reducing air pollution caused by fumes of vehicles especially in the cities.

In addition, most countries specifically the non – oil producing nations used millions of dollars every year in importation of crude oil or petroleum products into their countries. A case in point is that in the year 2016 from January to December, Ghana alone imported close to one billion dollars wealth of petrol according to the Finance minister which was reported by ART news.com on 20th February, 2018. However, when there is declined in oil and gas consumption, it will also lead to reduction in the budget for importing gasoline to the country.

To conclude, based on the above benefits from increasing taxes on petrol, I am of the firm view that the advantages of imposing additional levy on petroleum products outweigh the disadvantages, however the taxes should be realistic.

    • IELTS MASTER says:

there is an increase in a tax, not there is increased in a tax. In their use of fuel, not used of fuel. Nations use millions of dollar, not used millions of dollars, you keep repeating the same mistake of using past tense of verb where present should be used. imported petroleum worth one billion dollar, it is the right way write it. Again the same mistake, declined in oil and gas, it should be decline. Your task completion is incomplete because you did not discuss any disadvantage which is part of the essay statement. You had to mention at least one disadvantage of raising taxes.

  7. Haruun says:

That was my initial taught but wanted to go this way for you assess it first

The pie charts reveal online shopping sales of four sectors in Canada in two different years.

Overall, online sales of electronic and appliance dominated but the sales of home furnishings, food and beverages and video games was less during two years.

According to the pie charts, online sales of video games accounted for 18% of Canada’s sales in 2005, and experienced 5 percentage points increase to 23 % in 2010.Moreover, online shopping of electronic and appliances decreased from 35 percentage points in 2005 to three tenth in 2010.

As per the pie charts,in 2005, the sales of food and beverage was 22% which experienced a rise to 32 percentage pointsin 2010. Furthermore, the sales of home furnishings was a quarter in 2005, and reduce of 10 percentage points had been observed in 2010.

    • IELTS MASTER says:

You cannot say that electronics dominated because in second pie chart its share is lower than food and beverages. ‘food and beverages and video games was less during two years’ clearly you have made a wrong comment regarding food and beverages. ‘online shopping of electronic and appliances decreased from 35 percentage points in 2005 to three tenth in 2010′ appliances’ share decreased to one-third not three tenth (one-third = 33% and three-tenth = 30%). ‘rise to 32 percentage points’ not 32 percentage points but 32% because 32% is the actual percentage and not increase of 32%.

  9. Rinal Kansara says:

There is no doubt that pollution and traffic are a great concern for individuals.Since uses of vehicles are increasing across the globe, it has detrimental effects on the environment. While it is said that it is beneficial to impose tax on gasoline, some believe that it has negative influence. But i advocate that pros far heigher than cons.

To commence with, tax on petrol will certainly help to reduce traffic and environmental issues. Also, it will increase the economy of the globe and government can utilize this huge amount of money in developing other rudimentary facilities such as education and healthcare.Secondly, people will start to use public transport rather than private vehicles. As a result, scant vehicles will be driven on the road and pollution will be declined. To illustrate, in India, in the Maharashrta, the rate of petrol is higher than other state and all people do not afford it .Consequently, people use public transport and two wheelers which run on solar energy and certainly traffic issue and pollution has reduced 50%.

However, a certain section of the society support that it has detrimental effects on people’s life.If transportation cost is expensive, all people will not be able to take education and purchase food.Consequently, it will pave the way for starvation and unemployment in the country. Thus, people will cope with several difficulties in their day to day life.

To recapitulate, although goods and education will become expensive ,there are several transportation modes which can be used to travel and number of cars will be decreased on the road.

    • IELTS MASTER says:

‘pros far heigher than cons’ pros are far higher. ‘scant vehicles will be driven’ not scant but less number of vehicles. ‘pollution will be declined’ pollution will decline. ‘higher than other state’ other states. ‘all people do not afford it’ cannot afford it. ‘has reduced 50%’ reduced by 50%. ‘cars will be decreased’ will decrease.

  10. Rinal Kansara says:

Overall, the sales of video games and food and beverage increased, whereas the ratio of sales of home furnishings and electronic and appliances reduced by 2010. Is it correct conclusion of task 1? Or mention both years?

    • IELTS MASTER says:

‘the sales of video games and food and beverage increased’ the sales did not increase but the contribution of their sales in overall retail revenue increased.
