The given map illustrates Canterbury town with a proposal for a new school block, which two areas have been earmark for it. Overall, it can be observed from the map that majority of Canterbury’s land have been used for housing which is engulfed by the country side. There is a town center, university, the proposed two sites for the school and two adjoining towns.

Most of the land in Canterbury have been used for housing which is surrounded by country side in all direction, a town centre in the middle and university, occupying part of the housing area and country side at the north of the town. The first proposed site for the school being S1, is in the border between the country side and housing area on the east of Canterbury, and the other being S2, is in the southern part of the town centre.

There are two towns on the outskirt of Canterbury, one is called Sturry, which is 5km from the town centre and located at the north-east of Canterbury, with a population of 7,000, and the other called Chartam, on the South- West of Canterbury, 7km distance from the town centre and also have population of 4,500.

New school block for which two areas have been earmarked is the write sentence formation. All directions not direction. In the north of the town not at. 7km away from not distance from. And has a population of 4500, correction in last line.

The map illustrates two possible locations for the new school that is planned in the town of Canterbury. Overall, the whole town is surrounded by greenery and the majority of the area is used for housing.

The main road connects two other neighboring towns of Sturry and Chartham. The town center lies almost in the middle of both the towns with a distance of 5km from Sturry and a distance of 7km from Chartham. It is also the no traffic zone and holds one of the probable locations for the new school denoted by S2. The new school in the S2 location will be in the heart of the Canterbury town.

Where the majority of the town is covered with housing there is a university in the north. The countryside is the other proposed location for the school closer to the town Sturry denoted by S1. The population of the town Sturry and Chartham is 7000 and 4500 respectively.

These two towns has a population of 7,000 and 4,500 respectively. One of the possible sites for the new school S2 is located in the southern part of the Town Center.Another possible site S1 for the new school is situated in the Country in the Countryside which is near to the town Sturry.
    Can you evaluate my answer

    • IELTS MASTER says:

‘These two towns has’ have a and instead of these name the towns because you are using respectively at the end of the sentence. Rest is fine. You have a made an impressive improvement in your writing with fewer grammatical mistakes and better sentence formation. Keep it up!

The map reveals the planning of two sites for construction of school in the town of Canterbury.

Overall, the town of Canterbury witnesses a great deal of changes between now and future.A new school will be built at any one site s1 or s2 in future. Thus, the infrastructure of the town of Canterbury will be changed after few years.

According to the given map,on the top of the map, a university is located nearby countryside. Moreover, there is a rural area around Canterbury town in square shape and a town centre is available in the heart of the Canterbury. Furthermore, main road connects Chartham town on the South West corner which is 7km away from the town centre and it has 4,500 population.Another main road leads to Sturry town 5km further from the town centre with 7,000 population. Additionally, there is a residential area between the town center and the countryside.

As per the planning of future, the new school s1 will be built on the East side in the countryside or it will be constructed on the bottom of the town center.

    • IELTS MASTER says:

‘ witnesses a great deal of’ witnesses is present tense hence cannot be used with future, moreover there are no changes planned in the map just two proposed sites for school everything else will remain same as it is nowhere mentioned in the statement that there will be any changes in town’s structure. So complete overall is wrong. ‘town centre is available’ situated not available at the heart not in the heart. ‘has 4,500 population’ has a population of 4,500. ‘new school s1’ s1 is not school it is the proposed site for the school.

There is no doubt that now a days in modern era, there are many resources of learning new language and improving cognitive skills. However, some people advocate that thinking ability and language skills can be learnt more by reading books than watching tv and I personally agree with this notion and in the following section this issue will be discussed.

To commence with, reading broadens the horizon of people because it needs more attention and people are unable to watch character or picture in the book like mass media.Hence, people visualize the picture in mind and it boosts creativity. If any sentence is arduous or unable to understand,it can be read again. Secondly, there are variety of sentences in book. Therefore people learn new vocabulary, it builds the foundation of grammar as well as enhances the reading speed.

Since learning new skills require concentration, idividuals become patience and learn to concentrate mind for long time by sitting in (let me know here at. Or in?sitting at or in?)one place which certainly helps pupils during examination. To illustrate, when people read storybook, they think about the character and it is human tendency to immediately draw a picture in mind about phenomenon and give pressure on mind to understand the story. Thus, they vividly remember the story.

To recapitulate, although reading skills requires proper focus , individuals get proficiency in language and they learn creativity by drawing a different picture in their mind.

‘this issue’ issue is generally used for negative things or problems so write this argument. Second paragraph is very well written with clear thought process and no grammatical errors. Good job. ‘idividuals become patience’ individuals spelling wrong, and become patient not patience. Both are correct in and at. Third paragraph is just a repetition of second paragraph albeit in different words, you should have introduced new arguments here. Wrong use of although in conclusion, although is used when you are presenting two different opinions in one sentence but here you are writing about one thing that is merits of reading.

The map demonstrates an overview of the town of Canterbury and two possible locations for new school. As it can be clearly seen Canterbury is located between two different towns and the majority of its territory is devoted to countryside and housing, whereas marks S1 and S2 are portraying a possible place for school.
According to the map, the Town Centre is a no traffic zone and it surrounded by housing estate, and further countryside. The town center is connected with Chartham in the south-west and Sturry in the north-east by two main roads, 7 and 5 km long respectively. Moreover, there is a university in the north of the town just near countryside.
As for the school’s preliminary location, mark S1 is in the north-east of the town on the left side of the main road, mark S2, however, is placed in south of the Town Center near road leading to Chartham.
