The bar graph reveals the estimated illiteracy ratio of men and women in six regions in the year of 2000.

Overall, the illiteracy rate of women dominated , whereas the illiteracy rate of men was less in all given regions in the year of 2000.

According to the graph, the illiteracy rate of women was two fold as compared to men in developed countries and a difference of almost 1% was apparent in the illiteracy rate of men and women in Caribbean. Also, the illiteracy rate of females was about more than twice as opposed to males in Oceania.

As per the graph, nearly 18% more illiterate women were apparent than men in Africa. While approximately 29% males were illiterate in Arab States, the ratio of illiterate women experienced a rise of around 21% in Arab States. Moreover, the illiteracy ratio of men and women was close to 23% and 55% respectively in South Asia.

‘the illiteracy rate of women was two fold’ was nearly twofold you cannot say exactly twofold. Your sentence structure is very repetitive in this task. Try to write in different manner for example if 20% women are illiterate then you can say in other words like 80% women were educated or literate.

There is no doubt that technology has become the cornerstone of this modern word and there are several ways of getting news across the globe. However, I believe that the old traditional reading newspaper method has disappeared and this view will be discussed in the following section.

To commence with, online news save people’s time. Since people have become career oriented, they download some sort of websites and news channels in their electronic gadgets like laptop and cellphone. Also, they can read news during their convenient time. Secondly, money can be saved by reading news on the internet. As individuals do not bother about finding newspaper in the shop and go outside from their home. In addition, all information of the world can be received by just clicking on a button.

Another point to consider is, all up to the minute news are provided on the internet. Moreover, newspapers are printed after every twenty four hours and people have to wait to read news for long hours. But, people can watch live video of the phenomenon quickly in smart phone. Furthermore, deforestation can be prevented as papers are produced by trees and individuals face environmental problems. To illustrate, the Times of India, online news channel has 10million Indian subscribers where all Indian can find information of the globe.

To recapitulate, individuals do not like to read newspaper because internet news is (here are or is?)cheaper, time saving and individuals can receive all latest updates within few minutes by sitting at home.

‘modern word’ world not word. You did not mention internet in the introduction which is the main topic of discussion. Your introduction is absolutely wrong because it says that majority of people still read newspapers and you have written that it has disappeared. ‘download some sort of websites and news channels’ you cannot download a website or channel, you can visit or surf these. ‘news is (here are or is?)cheaper’ is should come here.
